DOB: August 1983
Position: NSO, and occasional Head NSO…
First Game: Dundee’s Silvery Tayzers vs Glasgow’s Maiden Grrders, April 2011 – on Outside Whiteboard when it still existed!

What has been your officiating highlight?

Being selected to NSO the first Men’s World Cup in 2014 – one of only 4 Scottish NSOs at the event! To say I felt out of my depth is an understatement, but I was grateful to be given the opportunity to learn from some of the finest officials in the world.

Who are your Derby Heroes?

There are too many!! Anyone who keeps pushing themselves, whether that’s on track or off, physically or mentally.

What advice would you give to anyone interested in becoming a Roller Derby official?

Have a look at then rules, come and NSO scrims, then read then rules again! They all make so much more sense in context… Then come back to scrims!

How do you spend your time outside of FVRG?

I play the clarinet (not as well as I used to) in the Glasgow Wind Band, and do a radio show on Radio Royal at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. And in between times, I sleep!
